Jeff Blackwood, President

Jeff Blackwood founded GreenTree and acts as President and Director of Business Development. In this role, Jeff is responsible for the sales strategy, partner strategy and marketing for the company. His innovate insights and solid business understanding has helped define the messaging focus for GreenTree, then implementing that focus in our go-to-market strategy. Jeff has served in sales and leadership roles with companies like VeriSign, MCI Telecommunications, and Black & Veatch, and he holds an MBA with emphasis in Innovation from the University of Missouri-Kansas City and a Bachelors of Journalism from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Kelly M. Kerns, CIO and Chief Architect

Kelly M. Kerns joined GreenTree as the CIO and Chief Architect. Kelly brings over 17 years of technical experience from software development to network engineering with an emphasis in database management and informatics; serving in roles from System Administrator to Chief Technology Officer. Kelly’s leadership experience was cultivated over a 10-year military career including his position as a Medical Service Corps officer in the Army National Guard. Additionally, as an adjunct university instructor for the University of Missouri-Kansas City, Kelly brings real-world, relevant experience to the classroom, as he prepares senior and graduate level students to face the challenges of technology management.
