UMKC’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation partners with GreenTree
Kansas City, MO, June 5, 2011 – Creativity and teamwork fuel innovation for students at UMKC’s Institute for Entrepreneurship and Innovation (IEI), and a new software tool developed by GreenTree Technology Partners facilitates the mentorship and education of IEI’s student innovators.

The IEI Student Venture Program provides student entrepreneurs an environment for building teams, seeking resources and learning from industry experts. Varying levels of physical, experiential and economic resources are provided to the students based on their needs with the objective of supporting and empowering budding entrepreneurs.
The software developed by GreenTree creates a collaboration environment for mentors and students to share business plans, financial statements and other critical documentation for defining the student-led ventures. Mentors will use the software to review documentation and provide direct feedback to the student teams, giving them guidance to help in their success.
